FOA 09 MEDIA: Chicago, Indy

Today's FOA 09 Media hits include:

- Indianapolis, where a week of discussion on 18to88.com regarding FOA 09 concluded with a Mike Tanier interview. If that doesn't get you to click through, I'm not sure what will.

- Chicago, where our talk with Chicago Sun-Times writer Brad Biggs continues with a look at new arrival Pisa Tinoisamoa and the departed Mike Brown.

- New England, for Part 2 of Doug's breakdown of the 2008 Patriots with Mike Reiss.

We'll also be adding more media hits as the day goes along, so check back here for the latest and greatest!

Really good interview at 18to88. The last question was basically delicious.

Chicago link is borked. There's a ' target =' at the end of it. If you remove that, it goes to the page.

In-all-knowledge-that-I-am-skirting-dangerous-territory-but-hoping-not-to-get-deleted-as-I-am-discussing-only-one-of-the-two-players-(you know which two)-and-no-comparison-is-intended . . .

I disagree with Mike's categorisation of Brady. I think Brady's most impressive seasons have been the ones since his last superbowl win, and 2005 and 2006 far more than the record-setting 2007. For those two years Brady dragged otherwise mediocre teams, with bad defenses and indifferent supporting talent on offense (especially at receiver in 2006) into contention. To my mind, that's far more impressive than winning a Superbowl or few off the back of your defense, or throwing 50 touchdowns to Randy Moss and some others. Those seasons belonged to the career of a Tarkenton or Elway (without the scrambling), not a Bradshaw.

Also, I feel one further category of undead is required: Christopher Lee. As many readers will know, the dude has been not only a vampire (of the sort who abducts and sucks dry topless posh birds on an industrial scale) but Frankenstein's monster, the Marquis de Sade, a Sith lord, an evil demi-god/wizard and a Bond villain. What some may not know is that he was also in the SAS. In World War II. The story goes that when they came to film Saruman's death scene, he had the following conversation with Peter Jackson:

- Do you know what sound it makes when you cut a man's throat?

- Uh . . . no.

- Ah. I do.

Peter Cushing's dead. It's possible that Brian's some relation. He may be safe, but no-one else is.
