Buccaneers center Jeff Faine will miss 4-6 weeks with a triceps injury; he'll be replaced by Sean Mahan, who the Buccaneers will sign after he passes a physical.

First LeCharles Bentley, now Jeff Faine.
Sign Saints free agent centers at your peril.
Ah, grand. I was just saying earlier today that at least the Bucs' offensive line looked good. Nice to get that taken care of right away.
Oh, baby!, Sean Mahan!!!...poor Byron, it will get ugly, fast, for him...every nose tackle suddendly will get to feel like a pro bowl when playing against that guy...yes, I am a Steeler Fan...No, I do not tend to forgive people...
Possibly the closest Super Bowl matchup in history also poses the question: how much does it mean when certain aspects of an NFL team improve dramatically in the second half of the season?
