Joey Porter Suspended For Sunday

Sierra Nevada Porter is not the drink of a true Raiders fan. Mickey's big mouths and a blunt is more like it. Impostor! (<--That word is spelled two ways, and both of them look wrong.)

Despite this, after his 2008 season that had him vaguely in the running for DPOY, it can be safely concluded he was still a better FA signing than Adalius Thomas, despite all the comment on this site arguing the opposite at the time.

When Joey Porter starts covering TEs and slot receivers..or even makes plays in the running game, then you might have a case.

Or knocks down some passes. I'm not saying Pats didn't overpay for AD but he does seem to knock down a lot of passes.

Joey Porter had a 100% stop rate against the pass last year, and was involved in 5 more plays. In 2007 he had a better stop rate against the pass by almost 20% compared to Adalius Thomas.

As a steeler's fan I wasn't sorry to see him go. It's weird, normally I wish the best for players leaving to go get big bucks elsewhere, but Joey never really did it for me. Always made plays against backup FBs or air, but against a decent OT, he would disappear. I swear he was never involved in any game against Ogden.
