We'll update the Saturday cuts as warranted in here; feel free to add your thoughts and own updates in this thread.
Colt Brennan appears heading to IR, and Matt Roth is on PUP.
12:21 ET: Add to that list Dominic Rhodes and D.J. Shockley.
7:00 ET: Let's update with the biggest cuts of the past few hours. The biggest by far is the apparent decision in Oakland to let go of Jeff Garcia and go with Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye as JaMarcus Russell's backups.
Also cut today: veterans Zach Thomas (probably heading for retirement), Ashley Lelie, and Bernard Pollard in Kansas City; tight end Alex Smith in New England (with David Thomas traded to New Orleans); Kynan Forney in San Diego (meaning rookie Louis Vazquez will start at guard); cornerback Marcus McCauley in Minnesota (a 2007 third-rounder); David Patten in Cleveland; D.J. Hackett in Washington; LCF favorite Brian Brohm in Green Bay (which we actually mentioned in a separate XP); defensive end Paul Spicer in New Orleans; 2008 third-round defensive end Bryan Smith in Philadelphia; and the player FO's Seattle crew loves to hate, safety Brian Russell.
These cuts were offset by a couple veteran (very late) signings, with Lawyer Milloy headed to Seattle and Vonnie Holliday to Denver.
Some moves are already listed in KUBIAK projections; others should be in there by late tonight for those of you with Sunday or Monday drafts.

Possibly the closest Super Bowl matchup in history also poses the question: how much does it mean when certain aspects of an NFL team improve dramatically in the second half of the season?
