Colts linebacker Tyjuan Hagler has been placed on injured reserve with a ruptured biceps tendon.
It's the third consecutive year Hagler's missed time, as he suffered from a neck injury in 2007, and lost seven games to pectoral and knee injuries last year.
Outside linebacker has been a cursed position for the Colts. In 2005, Cato June missed three games; in 06, they lost Gilbert Gardner for a game with bruised ribs, 07 saw multiple injuries sideline Freddy Keiaho for five games, and both Hagler and Keiaho missed time last season.

Re: Tyjuan Hagler Placed On IR
Gilbert Gardner getting injured was a positive though. He was AWFUL. Bob Sanders gets a lot of credit for the 2006 defensive turnaround, but Gardner being benched in favor of Rob Morris (who went down for the season early in 07) was another major factor.

How true.

Word!
Re: Tyjuan Hagler Placed On IR
Now I know Hagler has hit the big-time! Surprised he got the mention here. I'll take these LB injuries over sudden retirement, car accidents, career-ending non-football ailments, etc that have plagued the DT spot. Next man up.
Re: Tyjuan Hagler Placed On IR
Hopefully this gets Keiaho back on the field. I'm not sure why he ever got demoted in the first place.
Re: Tyjuan Hagler Placed On IR
Wheeler is next man up on the strong side. Freddie's backing up at MLB
Re: Tyjuan Hagler Placed On IR
I'd rather see them move Session to the strong side and play Keiaho at weak side.
