Why Is Everyone Quitting the Dolphins?

Miami head coach Tony Sparano would like to know why three players -- offensive tackle SirVincent Rogers, safety Ethan Kilmer, and fullback Matt Quillen -- quit his training camp in the first week. According to Mike Berardino of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, tight end Jared Bronson beat the rush by ditching camp altogether. None of the four were drafted, or projected to make the final cut, but people generally wait for those cuts before taking the walk home.

According to his agent, Rogers discovered that he didn't have the passion for the game he'd need to make it in the NFL, and headed back to Houston to get his degree. Injury issues may have stopped some of the others.

"It's really a weird scenario," Sparano told Berardino. "Some of these guys had taken an awful lot of reps, so it isn't one of these things where [it's opportunity]. It has an awful lot to do with passion. It's one of the musts for us."

I think Nick Saban and Ricky Williams would be among the first to point out that quitting the Dolphins is an honorable tradition.

Maybe their camp is so grueling EVERYONE wants to leave, but those who are left just can't quit them?

Maybe, Sparano, you should ask the 3 guys why they left. That could solve your mistery.
