Bruce Gradkowski Probably Done for Year
Raiders quarterback Bruce Gradkowski has a separated shoulder and will apparently miss the rest of the season.

Given that Jason Campbell is a better (as these things go) quarterback, this is probably addition by subtraction. Gradkowski was useless out there.

Amen. Campbell might at least be average. Gradkowski is the best worst qb ever.

I don't think he is a bad QB. I think of Gradkowski as Ryan Fitzpatrick Lite. He's a player who can scramble a bit, take reasonable risks downfield, and can make decisions under pressure. He also has mediocre arm strength like Fitzpatrick. I see Campbell as someone who folds under pressure against teams with a good pass rush (ie: Pittsburgh), and thus pretty unlikely to lead you in a playoff run. I think this is why Cable and the coaches preferred him to Campbell.

I think this means that Cable gets to keep his job, since he won't be able to overrule Al's QB pick anymore.

If the Raiders make the playoffs and bump off the Jets, I will take back all the bad things I said about them in '01 and '02.
