Chargers middle linebacker Donald Butler will miss his entire rookie season after tearing his Achilles during practice.
Butler, a third-round pick, had been expected to compete for time in the middle.

Minor weaknesses dot these teams. Except for Arizona, which needs to bring in more help to really run Bruce Arians' offense.

Re: Donald Butler Out For Year
I watched Butler a ton at UW, he is perfect for the 3-4 MLB spot. He's very strong and fast, but has basically zero agility. He can shoot forward and fight a guard or take a back down in the backfield, but in a 4-3 where he has to move laterally and track a back, he leaves cutback lanes wide open. He is a ferocious tackler. In pass coverage, he can pull in a tipped ball or tackle after the catch, but I wouldn't like to see what an NFL-calibur TE could do to him. He blitzes well, with speed and force, but he doesn't have the hand moves to separate from a blocker like a pro should. Too bad about the injury - he is a good player who makes exciting plays in the running game and as a UW fan I was looking forward to watching him.

And he's such a nice kid. This officially sucks.
