I appear today on Slate.com's "Hang Up and Listen" sports podcast with Stefan Fatsis, Josh Levin, and Mike Pesca. Join us as we talk about a few issues going into the season, including the Matt Leinart release and the idea of team projections as shades of gray rather than black and white.

Offensive line problems highlight the needs in the NFC North ... except in Chicago, which is kind of unsettling to think about.

Re: FO on Slate Podcast
I don't think those guys understood a word you said--they left with the same preconceived notions they went in with. At times I also thought they didn't like having someone smarter than them on the show, which makes me wonder why they invited a guest in the first place...

Re: FO on Slate Podcast
Seconded. Truly terrible interviewers, but not in a fun "uber-homer" way like some of the SB nation stuff from the last month. Just.... man.
Re: FO on Slate Podcast
Regarding Matt Leinart:
I'm not sure how the host feels about links to different websites, but I found some interesting thoughts about Matt Leinart via Greg Cosell and Ron Jaworski. Considering FO's relationship with Cosell and Jaworski, and that the podcasts are on an ESPN affiliate, I thought it wouldn't be a big issue. However, feel free to delete if it's inappropriate.
Greg Cosell: His remarks on Leinart appear a little after the 5:00 mark.

Ron Jaworski: His remarks are around the 10:30 mark.

Re: FO on Slate Podcast
The idea of Slate having a sports podcast is absurd on its face.
Re: FO on SP
Slate doesn't have a face. It's a web-based magazine.
