I did an e-mail interview with Gregg Rosenthal over at Rotoworld, talking about some of our more surprising fantasy-related predictions for the season.

I've been following the Cardinal fandom's reaction to the move to Anderson with interest. They have, for the most part, done an amazingly good job of convincing themselves that 1) Leinart has been atrocious this preseason. 2) Derek Anderson had an awesome 2007 season. 3) Derek Anderson's woes in 2008 and 2009 are totally based on his team, and have nothing to do with his having the accuracy of a rusted blunderbuss.

As a Browns fan, I can tell you that they will be in for a treat.

Put it to you this way: You know how Stats Inc. keeps track of "Poor Throws"? I would bet anything that Derek Anderson in 2007 owns the single-season record for "Poor Throws That Were Caught Anyway". His season was a product of Kellen Winslow staying healthy and (far more importantly) Braylon Edwards playing completely out of his mind. For that one year, he made just about all the tough catches - still dropped the easy ones, but stepped it up when it counted.

And even then, Anderson's stinker against the Bengals late in the season singlehandedly cost us a playoff spot...

Oh, I totally agree. It's just been fascinating to watch an entire fanbase completely reprogram themselves over a period of about a week or so.
