OK, let's see what the excuse will be for not playing Jerome Harrison now. Too much Peyton Hillis love?

The Falcons and Bucs are still lacking edge rushers, the Saints need someone to protect Drew Brees, and the Panthers desperately need a second good wideout.

Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
Peyton Hillis was the Jerome Harrison of Denver, so either way it's a win. I love both of those guys.
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
Grabbed Harrison in round 14. Hoping it works out...
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
He lasted until the 14th round in your draft? Holy moly.
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
Seriously. I think I took him in the 7th?
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
The rest were afraid to take him. I didn't realize he was still there until after I'd picked up my targeted players, like Brees, etc.
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
So is there a consensus nowadays on the impact of an ACL tear on a player? Does the knee remain weakened or is it returned to as good as new, and if so how quickly?
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
From what I understand repaired ACLs are actually stronger than the original one.
It takes about 18 months to fully recover, however.
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
I just traded for Harrison a week ago, but the good (non-ffl-dominated) part of my brain thinks this is really too bad. The few times I saw Hardesty this preseason he looked like the real deal --- he hit the hole fast, angry, and with his pads low, and he was hard to tackle.
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
Also, Harrison has been all fumbly this preseason, so I still wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench opening day. (Sorry for the double post.)
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
Hardesty always looked good, but always was injured too.
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
Curses. I grabbed Hardesty as a late round flier, was pleased to see he was moving up the depth chart, and now this. Oh well, at least I have a spot for a backup QB now.
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
This is why you wait until the last minute to have your draft. I'll not be picking him tonight.
Seriously? Why would you possibly have had your draft last week?
Re: Montario Hardesty Tears ACL, Gone for Year
My keeper league's draft was last Sunday. We've 20 owners, mostly married men with kids, spanning two continents and six timezones. That's simply the time we could get most people online, hence that's when we had our draft.
