Ngata Tore Pec During Pro Bowl

Haloti Ngata revealed today that he tore a pectoral muscle during the Pro Bowl.

Ngata should be able to return for the beginning of training camp.

Uhh, that's not true. Ngata said in the interview that he was actually trying NOT to hurt anybody else. Here's the quote: "Definitely, yeah, it sucks," Ngata said. "I was actually trying not to hurt somebody else and hurt myself. Whatever, I just try to hurry up and get it done and get back into game shape."

Interesting. One Aaron Wilson story has it as "I was actually trying to hurt somebody else" and a second Aaron Wilson story says the quote was "I was actually trying not to hurt somebody else".

For reference, this XP initially had the first quote. I'm removing the quote aspect since it's unclear.

I kind of doubt he would go on record as saying that he was attempting to injure someone, especially not in the Pro Bowl, of all places.

Ah sorry, I didn't realize there was another report with the other quote. I only saw the one posted on NFP where it stated he wasn't trying to hurt anyone. Probably best to take the quote out, but I also doubt Ngata would publicly state he was trying to injure someone else.

so, does this inform Terence Cody being drafted by the Ravens? or would that have happened anyways?

Well isn't Kelly Gregg the Ravens main NT, and he's pretty old? So Cody at that spot might have been the plan anyway.
