Redskins Sign Larry Johnson

The Redskins have signed running back Larry Johnson to a three-year deal.

Johnson did fine in Cincy last year (yes, I know his production was awful in KC). I'm not saying he's about to turn back the clock to 2005, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he could give you 100 useful carries a season for a couple more years. As long as he's not getting paid too much, there's nothing much wrong with this signing. He's not 2008 Shaun Alexander yet.

Raiders just had bad spell. happens to all temas. nothgin to worry about. team on upswing. win vs Syeelers just tip of iceberg. Good tims ahead. j Russell comign into 4th seaosn. Either get it now but if not Raiders go with other Qb (either Gradkowski or draft pick) both greta anywya, so tema going to be fine at qb psoiiton. wr corpse good, TE great. defense getting fixed but secondary alreayd great. Kicking game=aweosme.

as a 'Skins fan living in Tampa Bay, watch Allen up close, I'd say get ready for more uninspiring signings.

Actually - having Portis and Johnson in an uncapped year doesn't sound too bad to me. Let them grind out yards while the new line comes together. An unsung freshman RB probably won't be able to do much behind a raw line.

I'd take the same approach with QB. Let Campbell or some FA vet play behind the line this year, don't expose a rookie QB to it, even if you draft one first day.

He did not publish an analysis of Larry Johnson. Do you honestly think he did not look at Larry Johnson? I don't.

Dan Snyder is still trying to build a fantasy football team with yester years pro bowlers? How'd that work out in the past?

I don't like the idea of having Portis/Johnson in the same locker room behind what should be a below average offensive line again.

Clinton Portis running off to the media and spitting out dirty laundry on the radio really isn't good for the team, and it wouldn't shock me at all of these to won't get along.

Not to mention both aren't 1/2 as good as they think they are. Maybe the Redskins want to get rid of Portis ( next year), and want to have a big name backup waiting in the wings?

So how long before Portis talks trash about Johnson, or Johnson talks trash about Portis on the radio, TV, or on Twitter?
