The Saints have released defensive end Bobby McCray. The move is surprising; McCray was a key part of the team's defensive end rotation a year ago, and had six sacks in 2008.
New Orleans Times-Picayune writer Jeff Duncan noted on Twitter that McCray was not a favorite of the Payton regime, thanks to a propensity for blowing assignments and taking too many penalties. McCray was also late for Media Day last year at the Super Bowl.

That media day will get you every time.

Does he have a pulse? Does he have two feet? If so, then the Bucs should sign him, because he has to be better than what they have now at DE.
Re: Saints Release Bobby McCray
This seems odd to me. I know I shouldn't presume, but this seems like one of those situations where you later find out he's getting a league suspension.

Re: Saints Release Bobby McCray
He was due 1.25 million as a roster bonus in a week or two, so apparently the Saints decided they'd seen enough and now was the best time to toss him out the door.

Are we sure it's not painkiller/liquor addiction related? The reports on his carousing and current investigation into 300 missing pills lead me to surmise his decision-making process is altered.
