49ers to Extend Frank Gore
The 49ers finally appeased their running back with a three-year extension late Tuesday night. According to his agent, Gore will make $21 million over the duration of the contract, $13.5 million of which is guaranteed.

I was thinking he'd get more, but I guess with his age, and the real lack of leverage, since he's under contract, he got the best he could.

Seems a reasonably sane decision, all things considered. A three-year extension without a massive financial commitment means he gets to continue being the offense for a few more years.
Somewhere, DeAngelo Williams is cackling maniacally.

Yah, it's nuts the deal Williams got. Carolina couldn't think of a better place to spend their dollars?
