Hours after the NFL instructed teams that they were free to establish off-season training dates, two NFC North teams have released dates for the start of their Organized Team Activity (OTA) sessions and mini-camp.
Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand informed the team's official website that players may begin working out as early as Friday, but the first OTA sessions will be held at the team's Allen Park, Michigan headquarters on Wednesday, May 4.
The Chicago Bears announced they will hold a rookie mini-camp from May 6-8, with their off-season conditioning program beginning on May 9. Chicago's lone mini-camp this off-season is scheduled for June 3-5.

Minor weaknesses dot these teams. Except for Arizona, which needs to bring in more help to really run Bruce Arians' offense.
