SITE NEWS: Welcome Brian McIntyre

Hey folks. We're going through some staff changes here at FO. As you saw last week, managing editor Bill Barnwell is leaving us. In addition, J.I. Halsell has moved on to become an agent for Priority Sports and Entertainment.

That means we need to bring on a couple new people as writers and/or editors. Our first new addition for this offseason will be Brian McIntyre. You may know him from his "Mac's Football Blog" news site. He has also written for the Tacoma News-Tribune and done consulting projects for various NFL agents, and he's been an FO game charter since 2006. For now, Brian will be taking over "Under the Cap," as well as posting Extra Points and helping out with draft coverage. When the regular season comes, he may be taking over one of Barnwell's columns. Please welcome him!

"Under the Cap" worked so well because Mr. Halsell is an expert in the field. If Mr. McIntyre isn't bringing any particular knowledge to the column, we're probably better off without it.

I been following Brian "Mac" for years on his blog and I am greatly disappointed he will no longer be working on macsfootballblog.com. However, I will keep my eye on him on here and hope he continues bringing the latest up-to-date nfl buzz from around the league.

Hey I was just wondering if Brian will be doing the signing status of all of the NFL picks like he did for the past couple of years of the draft on his blog site. I really liked that a lot and it was very interesting! Hope he continues doing that and I'd be very excited.
