Between links like this and RaiderJoe's insipid (and moderator endorsed) stupidity, this site is going downhill fast.
Forget moderators, I'm pretty sure that other readers love RaiderJoe's hilarious misspelled brain dumps as much as I do.
There are plenty of readers who don't.
God forbid that there should ever be any content on the site which anyone's not interested in reading.
Actually, watching typo after typo trying to say how the Raiders are about to turn the corner and win the Super Bowl are a cross between worthless and annoying.
Imagine if every post on the Message board was like that:
PatriotsBen: "OGM, Partoits r goign to wni ti All in 2012
JaguarsChris: "No wya, Futrue MPV Cotl MCCyo adn the Browns Will!!
Every single one of his non-Raider posts is incredibly accurate and insightful.
How fast is "fast"? Raiderjoe's been commenting for years.
God damn you, sir. Raiderjoe is a national treasure.
RaiderJoe is one of the most knowledgeable football fans on the internet.
Not jut on the internet, on this site as well.
We are number one. All others are number two, or lower.
I completely disagree. He might be 1 of the least knowledgeable fans on the internet. A knowledgeable football mind would not view the recent Raiders teams as Super Bowl Contenders.
sometimes predicitons turn out wrong. Giood chance QQ predicted Eagles vs chargers super bowl 46 and just mad that Raiders are betetr than Chargers this seaosn
Philly and San Diego are #16 and #17 in DVOA whereas Oakland is #22. So even though I did not predict that, it is quite likely BOTH teams are still better than Oakland.
recorods say Raiders are betetr. well, can be deceiving suppose, so will say Raiders ahead f SD in standings and that is fact. All that is beside point of post anyway
If Chargers had their QB, RB and starting two WRs all out injured then who knows where their record would be....
Raiderjoe would mop the floor with you in a contest of NFL history.
Raiderjoe is probably the most knowledgeable person of 60's and 70's era football on FO. Which puts him pretty high in the running for most knowledgeable internet wide.
Course I ain't never been to ESPN.com, and I ain't never seen SportsNation. And I ain't never seen no FOX Sports message boards, so the feller says. But I'll tell you what - after seeing Raiderjoe's recall of games that happened during Vietnam, and the future wisdom he will surely display on the topic, well, I guess I seen somethin' every bit as stupefyin' as you'd seen in any of them other places. Factually correct, though. So I can die with a smile on my face, without feelin' like Tim Tebow drew a roughing the passer on me.
Raiderjoe is the man for his time and place.
He's also pretty damn good on current football, once you allow for the massive homerism. I bet he'd do a better job picking non-Raiders games than the vast majority of posters here.
Yeah, he's a cool Dude
Thank you for this. The Dude abides.
Eff it, those QQs, obnoxious packer homers, and RJ bashers...
How does that Chiefs' ass taste? Shaq/Chuck, luckily, do not comment on football, they will have a field day burying y'all so deep, you'd come out as turd-diamonds.
RJ is insightful and witty in ways we love "national treasures". Distilled experience, sharp wit, and vast knowledge rolled up in one---best of all, sprinkles in some trash-talking without sounding condescending. He (even if really at 90+ with 3 fingers) will pull more trim than your (prolly pale sweaty, overly uptight) nerd-ass right now. [Not that that is necessarily the judge of someone's true value or likeability in the world...but alas]
What are you, like 23?
Out of the time when you are not out in the world enjoying the best it has to offer, stop f**king up other people's time here when they can at least feel a sense of relief from talking heads such as skip bayless and stephen a. smith.
RJ is not likeable strictly because he's knowledgeable, but that his online persona is truly cool (prolly because he is not humorless like some, cough, QQ, cough). Oh, and yes, he will destroy 3 generations of you when it comes to serious, applied, football knowledge.
RJ also has a great double reverse sarcastic sense of humor.
Raiderjoe is one the best and funny (sometimes unintentionally) commentators on any internet forum I have ever been on.
He is a homer, but he knows football and knows the history of the NFL better than almost anyone on here. He is terrific
Unrelated: Thanks to the linker for using Skip Bayless in the intro so that I knew that I could skip the link.
Thanks to all who wrote soemthing nic.e Those comemnts appreciated. Commentn s from critics okay too beucuause can learn something from comemnts and also it mean those people still reading what written which is better lot uin life thhan writing soemthing and have no idea if anybodoy read it. Many times put soemthign of interest in posts here so evenn if have typing skills of three fingered 90 yera old man still added dsomething of value to board
Plus it doesnnt matter typing reallly.

so to Jimmy JJ, QQ, and derpherpDerp- stop complaning abouit site and other poeple like women in beauty parlor. Youir complaints have now been herad. Now time to tlak football or find another websiite.

I had no problem reading your post, even though you went out of your way to scramble the letters in a way a normal typo wouldn't. Time to evolve, cave man.
Your comment is easily read and understood. David's is not.
The only words in David's post I didn't get were the second and third. Everything else was immediately apparent.
"so to Jimmy JJ, QQ, and derpherpDerp- stop complaning abouit site and other poeple like women in beauty parlor."
I enjoy Raiderjoe as much as anyone, but I don't recall this deep knowledge of NFL history everybody is talking about. And this business about first and last letters of words doesn't apply to the fruitiest raiderjoe posts; they have to be read more like old english / late Joyce.
See his various comments in this thread, for example. It's not actually a perfect illustration, because that's a thread which is in some sense about NFL history, and he's at his most impressive when something that comes up as an adjunct to a completely unrelated topic just reminds him of some obscure fact, but he definitely knows his old time apples.
It certainly got worse after your post. RJ all the way!
Thanks for the feedback, DerpHerpDerp (not verified).
C'mon, Vince, that's unfair. I'm sure there is a lot of derp that DerpHerpDerp, or DHD as he would like to be known, can add to the existing herpderp here.
Personally I find these random little gold nuggets to be pretty awesome, as we don't see things like this very often here, and they break up the heavy stuff nicely.
I also think the best part of the video is Stephen A. Smith.
I agree -- I usually don't pay attention to stuff like that, but I'm willing to watch if it's been recommended here.
Which one was Stephen A Smith?
The guy continually looking like he can't believe he keeps appearing on a show with Bayless. Like he's thinking to himself during this movie "I know what's going to happen every day before I even walk into this room, and yet I keep coming back! What is wrong with me? Maybe I should ask America, they seem like a pretty knowledgeable group of humans, and could probably give me a reasonable answer that I could moderately agree with, while not losing my head."
My internet hates me...
"I also think the best part of the video is Stephen A. Smith."
If only because it is the only video of SAS in existence where he isn't talking.
That wasn't why I posted that comment, but I can't disagree with you.
The thing that actually makes this funny is how incredibly desperate Skip Bayless is. He looks like he's pleading for his life.
What made me crack was John Elway. He looks like a cross between Frankenstein and count Dracula.
I think he looks more like a cross between Count Chocula and Frankenberry.
I would say FO needs more goofy, not less.
RaiderJoe for president.
raiderjoe for psredinent.
I already got sent this on Facebook, and honestly I found it particularly unimpressive. There was one before that was supposed to be a trailer for Tebow: The Movie that was much better.
I went to watch it and I thought it was kind of dull.
you walked out too early. the credits were the best.
search youtube for "All I Do Is Win (tim tebow remix)" for 4 minutes of way better Tebow-related hip-hop, if that's your thing.
Wtf is the point of linking Skip Bayless? and who is Vince Verhei? Hopefully Tanier goes full time with the NY Times soon. I can get these stats on ESPN ever since the Insider sellout. This site has been in the tank for a long time. Pretty sure the downturn started with spygate, but these guys have never understood technology or the internet. The comment threads are from 2003, the message boards are a joke, their biggest release every year is an ebook which isn't on kindle and they refuse to integrate facebook. Thankfully we have another barrier to commenting with the captcha below; that's the only way to stop spam comments.
Why in God's name would you want them to integrate Facebook?
My thoughts exactly. JimmyJJ here is going to complain about how behind the times this site is and then demand Facebook integration? Where have you been, dude? It's time to get with the Plus. Facebook is a cancerous tumor that must be removed immediately. Sure, it'll probably leave a nasty scar preventing us from ever forgetting it's horrid existence, but we'll all be better off once it's gone.
And you are still here because .... ?
Isn't Vince Verhei one of the FO staff writers?
If you don't know that, JimmyJJ, maybe you shouldn't be commenting on the content or the commenters.
Raiderjoe is, I continue to insist, a clever and talented performance artist whose posts here constitute a body of work unrivaled since that woman smeared chocolate all over her nude torso.
Eagerly anticipatye Serious Football Guys website run by DerpHerpDerp an d moderatetd by JimmyJJ and QQ. Queustion we all ask ourselves in meantime is " Will this be JimmyJJ Day?". Just like the Jimmy Shaker Day lien from "ransom"
While I would ordinarily applaud any attempt to hijack a comments thread away from Tim Tebow, I have to say that the negative comments about Raiderjoe are not only in poor taste (really, calling out a commenter like that?) but also lack foundation.
RJ is given a little bit of special status around here (essentially cause of his amusing typo style) and I think it annoys some people. Personally I don't mind but I can see why.
I feel like I'm seeing the signs that this football site is attracting too much attention from the homer/troll crowd that has ruined every other site I've been to. The signs are especially evident with regard to Bronco and Packer content.
Please stay away, homer-trolls.
I was expecting a Kwamme Harris-esque yakity sax lowlight video.
Here it is.
The Vikings need offensive line help, while the Bears, Lions, and Packers have significant defensive concerns.
