The Eagles are the new Patriots, who were the new Cowboys. Except both the Patriots and Cowboys actually won games.

It's not so much "don't talk about the Cowboys," but "maybe you could give the Cowboys no more media attention than, say, the Tennessee Titans, who have been about as successful over the past 15 years and have the same current record?" The level of attention given them versus their level of football relevance is way out of line.

Unless you measure 'football relevance' by popularity, which the media does. They don't particularly care about which teams should get the most attention based on quality of play. They care about what will get them the most hits/viewers/listeners/whathaveyou.

I'm pretty sure "Philadelphia Sports Daily" will be continuing to cover the Eagles for the rest of the season. You may also want to avoid philly.com.

It's the local station's choice. Maybe because the Eagles are in the same division as the Giants.
