I've been writing weekly previews for a Chicago site giving FO-style previews of each Bears game. Here's the article for tonight's bout with the 49ers.

Lane Johnson and D.J. Fluker were selected high in the draft, but both have troubling flaws in pass protection according to Word of Muth.

Re: Bears Breakdown Week 11
So, I didn't read the article, but if the title was a prediction it was pretty accurate.
Re: Bears Breakdown Week 11
Yeah, I assumed it was a recap. I was hoping to learn something of the SF front seven, which was just monstrous tonight. I guess tying the Rams will do that to a team....
Re: Bears Breakdown Week 11
That Bears offense is just awful, one of the worst in the league. I don't see them beating many good teams this year, just beating up on the mediocre ones.
Re: Bears Breakdown Week 11
I haven't seen a worse-looking O-line. It's hard to judge the rest of the offense when it's that bad.
Makes me respect Cutler a lot more, that he can look half-way decent at all behind those guys.
Chilo Rachal actually looked good by comparison...something I never thought I'd say.
Re: Bears Breakdown Week 11
Agreed. I think the O-line is getting worse, not better, and I think that Carimi is a bust. I also don't know how bad the backups must be that someone isn't at least getting a shot in place of JaMarcus Webb. How much worse could they be?
I also agree that Cutler masked some of the problems with the O-line. Campbell isn't terrible, but he's not as mobile as Cutler and he held on to the ball too long a few times.
I can't remember ever feeling this pessimistic about a 7-3 team. Even when Cutler went down last year, I was cautiously optimistic about their chances to sneak into the playoffs behind Hanie (ha!) and then get Cutler back. This year, I don't see them winning a playoff game even if everybody stays healthy, and that's if they even make it. Arizona looks to be the only easy team left on the schedule, I think the Packers are going to kill them, and Minnesota/Seattle/Detroit aren't great but aren't bad, either.
Re: Bears Breakdown Week 11
Hey, "Bears Breakdown" was supposed to be a title, not a prediction.
