Adrian Peterson is unstoppable, but can the rest of the Vikings raise their game to defeat a banged-up division rival from Chicago? Robert Weintraub breaks it down at ChicagoSide Sports.

Offensive line problems highlight the needs in the NFC North ... except in Chicago, which is kind of unsettling to think about.

The Vikings simply aren't good enough to compete for the tournamant unless they had received phenomenal injury luck. It's not been horrible for them in that regard, but having Jared Allen play with a torn labrum, and Harvin miss half the season meant losing more production from two stars than their thin roster could endure. It's not inconceivable that Adrian Peterson could drag them across the finish line on Sunday, if Ponder doesn't foul up too badly, but they have no margin for error. The Bears win again, it seems to me.

Will
I think the Bears throw up all over themselves and the Vikes ride the purple wave to a win

As a Bear fan, I concede that outcome is not impossible. On the other hand, Cutler-to-Marshall, Cutler-to-Marshall, Cutler-to-Marshall.

Is Earl Bennett out? Because if so, the Seahawks "Whatever, just keep Marshall out of the endzone" defense might have even more merit.
I think Harvin busted up his ankle in his Seahawks game too. I don't know about our dads, but it sure seems like my team can beat up your teams.

Jeffery is back after many weeks on the sideline.
Re: Bears-Vikings Preview at ChicagoSide Sports
I am trying to think of a reason why this game should not feature 100% peterson handoffs on one side and 100% pitch and catch to a wide open Marshall on the other end.

Because Coaches and Coordinators need to be seen to be doing something? (Someone would just have to try a flea-flicker screen-pass or something equally daft and turn the ball over eventually).
