Raiders coach Art Shell has suspended wide receiver Jerry Porter four games without pay for the old "conduct detrimental to the team" violation. Since you can't "Keyshawn" players any longer, it'll be interesting to see what happens to Porter after he serves his suspension.

Aaaaaahhhh! Run for your lives! It's contagious! Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Doug Johnson, you're a play away.

Bill Simmons said it, I've said it on a few radio appearances, and now Doug Drinen chimes in. This is the weirdest fantasy season ever. I feel bad that the KUBIAK projections seem a little off so far -- but that just means they have the same problem as every other set of projections produced this year. Unless somebody wants to show me the guy who predicted Bernard Berrian as the top wide receiver, Marques Colston and Kellen Winslow as the top tight ends, and Charlie Frye as a top 10 quarterback.

From FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer as reported on FSN's Pro Football Preview: "Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antrel Rolle has been fined a whopping $12,500 by the NFL for his facemask of the Chiefs' Larry Johnson in Sunday's game." Does anybody else think this is just a slap on the wrist? The facemask penalty was obviously intentional, and it's amazing to think Johnson might actually play this week.

There aren't many interesting storylines for the Sunday night Raiders-Broncos game -- unless you're on of those people hoping to see Oakland go winless in 2006 -- but this should liven things up a bit: "[Art] Shell was the Raiders' offensive line coach in 1988-89 under [Mike] Shanahan. At the end of the 1988 season, Shanahan tried to fire Shell and five other Raiders coaches. That led to owner Al Davis interceding... 'There was a power move and I was able to retain my job,' is virtually all Shell will say on the subject.

It's not an official statistic, but Paul Zimmerman keeps records of hang times on kickoffs and punts. He's been doing this for decades, and on Sunday he witnessed an all-time hang-time record. Who accomplished this remarkable feat? Click the link to find out.

I loved Antwaan Randle El when he was with the Steelers, but is anyone really surprised he's not that effective as a wide receiver? Well, except Dan Snyder? Of course, the Redskins face the Titans on Sunday, and playing Tennessee can solve a lot of problems. For a week, anyway. (free registration/bugmenot required)

You'll rarely see a quarterback make as many good plays and as many bad ones as Clemson's passer did in 2016. Guest columnist Seth Galina breaks down the tape and says the positives significantly outweigh the negatives.
