From the AP: "After meeting with a group of NFL owners, Schwarzenegger said he was there to make sure 'we're getting not only one NFL team to the Los Angeles area, Southern California, but to actually get two teams. That's why I came. Why limit it?'" Why stop at two? An NFL team for every neighborhood!

I'm all for guys staying in school -- except for Matt Leinart -- but this seems kinda weird. Santonio Holmes is a junior, so it's not like he's taking classes to graduate this semester. Still, the NFL and NCAA have an agreement "that limits a rookie's participation in the spring until his college class graduates." Good for Holmes for finishing out the semester, but I wonder if, under the agreement, he can just drop out of school and report to his new job in time for the "voluntary" coaching sessions.

Any predictions on what position Lewis will play? Aside from Marcus Pollard and Antonio Gates, is there anyone else in the NFL who didn't play college football?

LenDale, just say no.
Update 3:53 PM EST: Adam Schefter just reported on "Total Access" that LenDale White did not, in fact, fail a drug test. So LenDale, good job on just saying no.

So, remember how a whole lot of draft experts were insisting that the Texans would definitely draft Reggie Bush first overall and that any interest they had expressed in Mario Williams was just a smoke screen? The Houston Texans will take Mario Williams first overall and have reached a contract agreement.

Hidden in this article about Javon Walker wanting out of Green Bay is the news that Donald Driver has also told the Packers to restructure his deal or trade him. Last receiver out of Green Bay, please turn off the lights.

Suck or not suck? Following up on the angrier-looking Cardinal in Arizona, the Vikings now have an angrier-looking horn. It has a crease. Yep, that will sell more jerseys. The white stripe is a little weird, but in keeping with the new style I would like to suggest that the Vikings front seven now be nicknamed the "Seven Nation Army."

This year's update to the playoff drive stats show that the football gods may have been on Peyton Manning's side this time. Also: Cam Newton and Alex Smith enter the mix, and why we should be comparing Andrew Luck to Dan Marino.
