Big Ben looks good in stripes.
I don't care. It's still ugly.
At least the Bumblebees won today.
Do they really expect anyone is going to run right out and drop $250 on that eldritch horror of a jersey?
If they want to book the revenue in 2012, they should just ship those jerseys straight to the $29.99 bargain bin at Sears, so guys can buy them as gag gifts for their Steelers fan friends.
They ain't got no alibi
They ugly! They ugly!
Those uniforms are ugly!
Fishbone, #&$^% it.
Throwback??? how about "Throwaway" Jersey. No wonder the Skins lost, the jersey probably made them really dizzy. I mean does no one at the Steelers or the NFL have a brain. Does anyone really think that this jersey looks in the least bit nice, unless you are colour blind of course then it only looks like it's a prison team.
You guys are crazy - those things look awesome. If someone bought me one, I'd wear that all the time.
you are kidding right? Right?
No... I like them too
Apparently a lot of Blind Melon fans read Football Outsiders.
No way, man. Those things are awesome.
The beige pants, on the other hand, are kind of lame.
I like the attempt at canvas-looking pants. I would have liked black shoes, too.
I agree, awesome

Very interesting article. Seems like they had a LOT of different uniforms given that was squarely in the midst of the Great Depression. I would have guessed they would have had at best a home and away and would have worn them until they fell completely apart, but it sounds like they were cycling through something like four sets over those couple of years.
Also, looking at the historical photos, those jerseys aren't nearly as hideous with leather helmets and the other old-time gear. Some things just do not translate to the modern game, and those jerseys are one of them.
The flip side of the great depression was that if you had money, things were dirt cheap.
True enough, but those weren't flush times for football teams from what I have heard. And they obviously needed people to pay to see the games which must have been a challenge in those days.
I mean it's not pretty, but it looks football.
