Not a surprise. There have been a litany of bad draft choices in Jacksonville, and even worse, a number of players who the Jaguars could have had much later in the draft, starting with Tyson Alualu and ending with the decision to take punter Bryan Anger in the third round when some guy named Russell Wilson was still on the board. Don't forget the atrocious free-agent contracts, either. Cardinals director of player personnel Jason Licht and 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble are the apparent top candidates. Hopefully, whoever gets hired will be down with Tony Khan and Daniel Adler's attempt to do a little analytics.

Offensive line problems highlight the needs in the NFC North ... except in Chicago, which is kind of unsettling to think about.

Re: Jaguars Fire Gene Smith
Let's just hope that the threshold for the new hire isn't "You will obtain Tim Tebow and install him as our starting QB."
Re: Jaguars Fire Gene Smith
Could've had Russell Wilson, will settle for Tim Tebow. That's not good.
