Everything you love, from angry Eagles rants to Watchmen references. Also on Sports on Earth by me: a Steelers-Ravens article called "Fashionably Lame" full of Byron Leftwich goodness.

Offensive line problems highlight the needs in the NFC North ... except in Chicago, which is kind of unsettling to think about.

Awesome.
I am now envisioning a burning building slap-fight.
And double kudos for the "Tales of the Black Freighter" reference.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Survivormen
"No one is ever ready for Cecil Shorts" sounds like a tagline to a brilliant movie.

Re: Mandatory Monday: Survivormen
Or a line from a Monty Python sketch.
"I wasn't ready for Cecil Shorts."
"No one is ever ready for Cecil Shorts! His main weapon is surprise. Surprise and speed - speed and surprise - his two weapons are speed and surprise.. and great hands. His THREE weapons..."
Re: Mandatory Monday: Survivormen
I gotta say, I normally hate it when people start busting out the Monty Python quotes, but this one made me lol for real. At work.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Survivormen
Chad Henne's mustache had me asking whether Movember is a thing in America. Is it? That's the only reason I can possibly see for such terrible facial hair.

Also, I'm shocked that The Thick of It isn't over there yet. Excellent show. I guess it is fairly British (in that its based on our parliament), but if The West Wing can be understandable here, The Thick of It should be understandable there.
It also features some wonderful swearing.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Survivormen
Woo-hoo! for the Genesis reference.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Survivormen
Hey, I know what I like. And I like what I know.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Survivormen
As others have pointed out Veep is the Thick of it's american cousin with the same creator. It does lack something from not having Malcolm Tucker's presence who deploys some of the most poetic foul language you'll hear.
