Gosh, is it Week 11 already? Time flies when you are writing two different Bears previews, one with Jay Cutler and one without. At least I had a three-year Byron Leftwich joke backlog to get things rolling smoothly.

Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
I'm not 100% sure this is a typo, but you predicted the Eagles to win this week.
Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
"Campbell’s arrival in Chicago made sense for both teams: Campbell needed stability, and the Bears needed a backup quarterback who could actually throw a football. But Sunday night’s relief effort showed just how many bad habits Palmer picked up from the thousands of coordinators he played for."
The last sentence obviously should say "Campbell" instead of "Palmer."
Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
Standard Tanier gold: "but the Raiders rescued him, which is like a band of teenage Indian Ocean pirates in a speed boat full of automatic weapons saving someone from shark-infested waters. (Exactly like that, actually)."
Mike, NEVER stop writing about the NFL. When you start to think about retiring in a few decades, let me know and I'll bribe you to continue, with a giant crate full of gold bars and a couple dozen hookers. Or a couple dozen gold bars and a crate full... well, you get the idea.

Love the trebuchet comment.
Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
"Bears follow up one of the toughest defenses in the AFC with the toughest defense in the NFL, on the road"
I'm pretty certain the Bears have the toughest defense in the NFL, and it isn't close. DVOA would also suggest that the defense they just faced is fairly comfortably the toughest in the AFC and probably the toughest in the NFL other than their own, whereas the one they are about to face is only the third best in its own division (though still 6th in the league overall - NFCWestwhoddathunkit).
Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
Yeah with 4 of the 10 best defenses in NFL (DVOA wise) is this the first time in nearly a decade the NFC West wasn't a joke?
Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
Well Saints fans weren't laughing in the 2010 playoffs. :)
Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
"Brandian Ross or Coye Francies could also play, or they may just be typos."
Picture Little Coye Francies running home crying "Mike Tabier called me a "typo"!"
Re: NFL Lowdown: Week 11
"Mike Tabier" That is either a really clever meta-joke, or some truly fortuitous coincidence. Hilarious either way.
