It's finally done!

Uh-oh, Houston fans. Arian Foster injured his groin at Houston practice last night, and it looks like it's going to require surgery. That will mean going on IR-designated for return, taking Foster out of action for at least eight weeks of the regular season. So who do you want to count on alongside your questionable quarterbacks, Texans: Chris Polk, who can't stay healthy, or Alfred Blue and his league-worst rushing DVOA from last season? Or is there going to be a Chris Johnson or Knowshon Moreno signing here?

It's our first "So-And-So Is Out For The Season After Training Camp Injury" story of 2015. In this case it's bad news for the Baltimore Ravens, who lose starting strong safety Matt Elam to a torn biceps.

Earlier this week, Seattle signed quarterback Russell Wilson to a long-term deal. Now they've also extended the contract of Bobby Wagner, in some ways the quarterback of their defense. Wagner was set to make less than a million dollars this season, but will now be the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL at $10.8 million per year on a deal that runs through 2019.

Three FO'ers at various times get together on a podcast, where they discuss offensive line play and also King of the Hill and wrestling. (Parental discretion is advised, especially for the wrestling part.)

The Asterisk is getting paid. Wilson and the Seahawks apparently have agreed to a four-year, $87.6 million dollar extension, though we're not sure yet if the announced money is for 2015-2018 or for 2016-2019. It looks like Wilson will now be the second-highest paid player in the game, behind Aaron Rodgers.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has upheld Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on integrity of the game.
Brady will miss the Thursday night opener against Pittsburgh, plus a home game against Jacksonville, road games against Buffalo and Dallas, and New England's bye in Week 4. He will be eligible to play Week 6 at Indianapolis.

From cute and cuddly (Houston's Toro) to nightmare serial killers (Pat Patriot) and whatever the hell the Chargers' mascot is.

If we don't have an argument about Beattie Feathers, who will?

The Arizona Cardinals have hired Dr. Jen Welter to their coaching staff, making her the first female coach in NFL history. And she won't be helping them with their nutrition or flexibility or training. She will be a training camp/preseason intern coaching inside linebackers, teaching the Mike Minters and Sean Weatherspoons of the world how to pursue and tackle.

New England takes over the top spot in DVOA, one of six undefeated teams that give us an almost 1-in-10 chance of a team going 16-0 in 2015. Cincinnati and Atlanta battling in the first all-undefeated Super Bowl? It could happen.
