NFL Lowdown: Week 16
Welcome back, true believers! I know the ol' Football Outsiders server had a rough week, but I have been a busy badger over at Sports on Earth. Once you get caught up on all the DVOA goodness, be sure to check out the Lowdown -- with no apocalypse jokes and minimal Jets nonsense, because you need the break -- then poke around my new digs to find a long article full of ... Jets nonsense.

I'd just like to point out that Charlie Casserly is no longer on the Redskins' payroll and that everyone currently involved with the team seems to recognize that RG3's playing style will require them to have a backup actually capable of winning games--so, not Rex Grossman.
If there are any serious Kirk Cousins trade discussions after the season, expect widespread fan mutiny. But if there are, I will be very surprised.

Are we even sure that Shanahan will not bench RG3 for Cousins given who the hot hand is?

The tie within the division is resolved first. The Jets may leapfrog the Dolphins there, but it's not a three-way tiebreaker.
