The NFL officially announced that the league and the Players Association have agreed on new rules changes suggested months ago. The traded deadline will move from Week 6 to Week 8, and from now on one player who goes on IR can come off the list before the end of the season. However, apparently that latter rule change only applies for this season to players already on IR as of now, which means the Steelers couldn't use it for someone like David DeCastro.
UPDATE: It looks like I had it wrong. In fact, to use the IR exception, a player needs to be on the final 53-man roster. Then a player can go on IR, and come off later.

Are the best defenses against play action the best against regular passes too? How much impact does play action really have in an NFL game, and does it correlate from year to year?
