This RSP blog post is a comparison-contrast of technique between an overrated (Hill) and underrated (Jones) rookie receiver. Hill has struggled this year. Injuries cut short Jones' first start last month, but he's almost ready to return.

Re: Stephen Hill vs. Marvin Jones: Managing Physical Play
How can someone be overrated when no one thinks they're good in the first place? Anyone who attempts to write should ban "overrated" from their vocabulary because they're going to be using it wrong the vast majority of the time in order to be hyperbolic about their hate and the wrongly perceived adoration 1 person/thing has over the person/thing they like.
Re: Stephen Hill vs. Marvin Jones: Managing Physical Play
Exactly. It was the same with the overrated QB poll that had Tebow and Sanchez at the top. There have to be people saying you are good in order to be overrated.
The talk on Hill in the preseason was that he is very raw but has a ton of ability and upside, and that's exactly what he's shown.
Re: Stephen Hill vs. Marvin Jones: Managing Physical Play
I know a couple people who think Tebow is good. It is not worth the work to argue with them though.

Um, no. Not with these guys. There's no logical necessity of that at all. Even given what most people think of them, they can still be hugely over-rated compared to that.
As a long-time Jets fan, I know.

Didn't FO declare Hill (and Ogletree) "For real" after one good game early in the season?
