Doug Farrar added former Jaguars and Texans defensive tackle Seth Payne to the Shutdown Corner staff. In Payne's debut column, he talks a little about the nuances of minicamp. What is overhyped, and what is overlooked?

Offensive line problems highlight the needs in the NFC North ... except in Chicago, which is kind of unsettling to think about.

Seth Payne is a good hire, great twitter account to follow, but this one was meh.

For its length, this article was packed with substantial info. The only problem I had was that it was on Yahoo.com.

Now now, Doug Farrar's been doing some great quality work over on Yahoo for a couple years now. And he's pulled in MJD, and even Tanier's been doing some writing there recently.
