Another week goes by, another Super Bowl contender suffers a critical injury.
Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians announced today that defensive back Tyrann Mathieu tore his ACL against Philadelphia on Sunday night and will be out for the rest of the season. Mathieu also suffered a torn ACL in his rookie season in 2013; it was not mentioned whether this injury was to the same knee.

Important story from the last couple days that's worth discussing with the FO readers. The NFL has announced that it will expand communication during the playoffs between referees and V.P. of Officiating Dean Blandino at the New York office.

Interested in who would make the playoffs under each potential tiebreaker scenario? The post linked, put together by commenter Travis, has all the different AFC possibilities, while this one has all the NFC possibilities. The AFC chart is a good explanation of why Jacksonville is at only 8.6% in our playoff odds despite being just a game back of Houston and Indianapolis: they'll need at least one Titans win or a Colts-Texans tie.

I don't care if Jimmy Clausen starts over Matt Schaub. I had too much fun on that slide to give it up.

The annual FO tradition returns for the 13th straight draft! The Jaguars repeat as the champions of April, while nobody is impressed with Carolina's draft weekend decisions.
