Mandatory Monday: Hot Rivals

Camp-style coverage kicks off with this very FOA-style breakdown of the 49ers and Seahawks, acting as if their Week 2 matchup was this Sunday, because we with it was. Over at my Tailgater blog I am putting up all sorts of team-based Heading into Camp articles, with ones about the Ravens and Rams already up!

"acting as if their Week 2 matchup was this Sunday, because we with it was"

Did anyone else read this in Mike Tyson's voice?

Lisping is a very serious affliction, but with any luck, one day I'll eat its children.

"Marshawn Lynch averaged 4.9 yards per carry on 175 carries per game."

And not a single vote for MVP. East coast bias!

Good one!
Because I simply could not resist, that works out to 858 YPG and 13,720 per season. Sure, it was an unusually good year, so say he regresses to the mean and gets ONLY 4.1 yards on a mere 100 rushes per game: Still not bad--410 YPG and 6,560 per season. CJ2K eat your heart out.

"Niners lost more to free agency but had more talent stashed on the bench than any team since the start of free agency"

I thought the 49ers reserves never got that much of a look-in, which is why I wonder where this is coming from.

Hoping someone can educate?
