This is one of those roundups of the craziness of Super Bowl week. Correction: it is MY roundup of the craziness of Super Bowl week, so it is rounder and upper than the others. Will drop an XP or two from New Orleans here this week.

Lane Johnson and D.J. Fluker were selected high in the draft, but both have troubling flaws in pass protection according to Word of Muth.

Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
No one is talking about pensions for those former puppies, who left all of their friskiness on the gridiron for our amusement.
The same could be said about the contestants from the early lingerie bowls.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
I was really hoping to get a Pro Bowl recap, so I could find out why Peyton Manning, Matt Schaub, and Andrew Luck just can't win football games in January.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
Kyle Rudolph just gave a gritty clutch performance, giving 110% when it counted.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
Because Jeff Saturday (why was he even there!?!), in his actually pretty cool moment snapping one last time to Peyton, managed to learn EVERYTHING about the AFC and report it back the to NFC. That's why you don't let a player snap for both teams, the one he is actually a member of gets an unfair advantage.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
IF I recall correctly, did Jeff Saturday not sort of voluntarily step aside to the bench so they could give a new centre more experience. How does a player who is willing to admit he is not up to the task any longer get voted as one of the best in the league?
If I was a GM signing a big name free agent, I sure would not be offering any incentives for Pro Bowl appearances.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
That is the narrative now, that Saturday said he couldn't go anymore. That was not the narrative from anyone at the time of the demotion, I don't think that was the narrative until the San Fran playoff game (maybe the Vikings playoff game). I personally think that story has come out to help both sides "save face" a bit and don't actually believe it.
Like I said, while his moment in the Pro Bowl was actually a good story, he never should have been there in the first place.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
Pro Blow horirible. Did not watch any of it yesteryad. Had NBA game on for first halfband hten turn off TV and went on intenret. Pro Blow total crap.
NFL regular seasons= cool animals at Bronx Zoo such as loins, tigers, giraffes , hippos and prairie dogs. NFL playoff games like cool replties and amphibians and some other things like bats. Pro Blow is like seeing rabbit in parking lot.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
This is in top ten of all-time Raiderjoe comments on FO.
I have never purchased the Almanac, but would consider it if it included a "wit and wisdom of Raiderjoe" chapter. (although I guess it should be called "tiw and swidom of Raiderjoe.")
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
Given that RaiderJoe has watched the Raiders through the past ten years of ineptitude - 7 consecutive years of double-digit losses ... for him to proclaim the Pro Bowl crappy ... wow, it must have been bad!
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
I think thats top ten FO comments of all time not just RJ.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
As long as it's not the rabbit from the Holy Grail, I agree with you.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
I think RaiderJoe must have slowed down to type most of this because he used the term Pro Blow three times. Not only is it an apt term for the game it still complies with his mystic of uber poor typing.
Re: Mandatory Monday: Release the Hounds
Slow down for names and stats. Pro Blow peurposeful spelling. If typed fast might come out as Pro Bowl.
Sa for Saturday guy was already selected to contest before being venched bty packers.

Has anyone ever wondered how RaiderJoe manages to consistently log in to any website that requires a username and password?
