I hope you'll link to PK's pieces about spending time with the officiating crew.
Part 1 of the officiating series: http://mmqb.si.com/2013/12/04/peter-king-spends-week-with-nfl-refs/5/
" I don’t understand it.”
"That makes a nation of us."
Pretty easy to understand: Jeff Tripplette is a terrible official. This is not his first snafu. It's amazing he still has a job. And in the near future he'll screw up again. Guaranteed. And he'll respond to that one the same way he handled all the past ones: By claiming he was totally correct in every possible way.
Yup. Genuinely curious what horrible act Triplette photographed Roger Goodell and Dean Blandino doing that has allowed him to keep his job.
Surely the amazing execrebility of Triplette is the one thing that fans of all 32 NFL teams can agree on.
5-1 on the road. Not sure the Seahawks view road games as Kryptonite anymore.
He actually said something I agree with: "And the NFL needs to do something to make field goals harder."
A. players were keeping lions in their rooms but 'travelling with officials' was UNIQUE? He must write that way on purpose.
B. Can anyone really have covered the NFL as long as King has and never even heard of a 'get-back coach'?
When it comes to No. 1 corners, a familiar name was No. 1 in 2014.
