The Kindle version of FOA 2016 is finally available. We are sorry the conversion process took so long this year. It costs $17.99 from Amazon. If you bought a copy of the print book from Amazon, you'll be able to get a Kindle version free. We apologize, we can't offer free Kindle match for anyone who bought the book in PDF form or from Createspace.

We're two weeks away from the start of the regular season, and the Chargers still haven't signed third overall pick Joey Bosa. The problem seems to be a disagreement over offset language. Bosa wants the language that is generally put in all contracts for top-five picks; San Diego has never used such language, mostly because they haven't had a top-five pick in a few years. Today, the Chargers actually released a statement to the media detailing their position, I guess in an attempt to force Bosa to accede to their demands. They want everyone know how much money they are offering him.

I have to give props to the Outside the Lines people for this really strong feature on the rise and fall of the daily fantasy sports companies over the last 36 months. Whether you liked to play DFS or just hated the ads, there's a very interesting story here. I still would like to see a healthy, well-regulated DFS industry that can stick it out for the long haul. It's fun to play, as long as you understand what it is and what it isn't.

Well, computing Adjusted Games Lost for 2016 will certainly be interesting. The NFL has made a strange decision to drop the term "probable" from the injury report. Instead, players will only be listed as "questionable" and "doubtful." This means that any player with any kind of minor injury will probably be listed as "questionable" even if that player is almost certain to play on Sunday. That's frustrating for fantasy football players, gamblers, and most importantly around here, people who analyze NFL injury trends.

Thanks to Deadspin, which helps us promote Football Outsiders Almanac each year by running one paragraph they like best from each of the 32 NFL team chapters. If you haven't bought the book yet and are looking for a larger preview than just our free Giants chapter download, you can find a bit about every team here.

We've got players and coaches who are cranky about losses, commentators who are cranky about players, and middle-aged men cranky at these damn millenials, and yes, Bill Belichick cranky about tablets.
