The NFC power balance gets clarified this week, but I am more inspired by the image of memorabilia shills sending boxes of wedding invitations to Peyton Manning.

I spent most of the column going "this is good, but doesn't have the big laugh that's usually there", and then I got to the Browns Patriots bit. Brilliant.
Got a chuckle picturing the Pouncey reference.
I think Mike is wrong about the potential tie breakers in the NFC West.
In the unlikely event that the niners and Seahawks end up tied in the division I think (though I could be wrong) that the niners would hold the tie break on better divisional record. Seattle would have lost three of their last four, which include three divisional games so a best record of 4-2 in the West. The niners would have to win out and that would give them a 5-1 record in the division.
It ain't gonna happen but if it did the niners would win the West and Seattle would have to take their show on the road.
This is correct near as I can tell as well. If Seattle were to lose to SF (which I personally don't think they will), they'd have to win both games against 'Zona and the Rams to insure the divisional win...but that would be totally unnecessary because any two wins would win Seattle the Div and HFA by way of superior overall record.
One of the dumb consequences IMO of putting too many of the divisional games late.
If the goal is to make the games at the end of the season more meaningful, then this is a potential example of how the plan is working.
I'm fine with the late concentration of divisional games. It's the head-to-head exchanges being so close that bugs me. Eleven days between the two Houston - Jacksonville games. Fourteen between the Denver - Kansas City games. Make the first round of divisional games the first half of the season, even if the last three weeks are all divisional games, and I'd be a lot happier with the scheduling.
Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D is a thousand times better than "Almost Human".
Incredible! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It's on a completely different topic but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Superb choice of colors!
The Vikings need offensive line help, while the Bears, Lions, and Packers have significant defensive concerns.
