During the offseason, we'll continue to be choosing star players for special Football Outsiders elite cards in Madden 25 Ultimate Team, based on strong performances in our various stats in 2013. This week, we're starting with a whole offensive line representing the top five teams in Adjusted Line Yards, our stat which breaks down runs of different lengths to get an idea of which teams get the best run blocking. For the most part, we wanted to pick new players who didn't previously get FO cards, but we did have to go with one guy who had a very early Football Outsiders card and continued to have a huge breakout season over the rest of the year.
This week's cards, with each team's rank in ALY:
These players go into packs on Friday, as with Football Outsiders elite stars all year long.
(P.S. OK, maybe Cannon isn't the best choice from the Patriots, but we already did Solder, Mankins, and Connelly, and I really wanted to do Nick Hardwick so the center position was taken.)
After three NFL seasons of kicking off from the 35-yard line, what has been the impact on touchbacks, returns, field position, scoring and injuries? Also, is this rule responsible for a record number of big comebacks?
