I don't know if you're aware, but Jason Whitlock's "NFL Truths" column has moved from Page 2 to AOL (and it's now called "NFL Real Talk"). Anyway, in his most recent effort he suggests that Ladainian Tomlinson is better than Jim Brown, Joe Gibbs should be fired, Eric Mangini deserves a lot of credit, and Michigan did not get "screwed by the BCS." He also thinks Jeff George would've saved Oakland's season and Tom Walsh's job. Okay, I made that last one up, but it certainly sounds like something Whitlock might say with a straight face.

Here's an interesting story from ESPN.com on how NFL players are getting caught up in this whole fantasy football thing. I think I might be the only person on the planet not playing fantasy football, but if I did, my team would definitely be named Juneimus D Great.

To me, this seems pretty obvious. Even if backup Brooks Bollinger is injured, the Vikings can't let Brad Johnson back on the field. Ever. Complicating matters, rookie Tavaris Jackson doesn't feel prepared to take over the job since he's mainly worked on the scout team this season. After Johnson's four-interception performance last week, I don't think it matters.

I'll file this under: "Columns that will make FO readers throw things at their computer monitors." That's right, Don Banks holds his third annual December re-draft! My favorite pick? No. 18.

From Page 2: "What's worse than punting when trailing late? TMQ says it's punting with the game still in reach, then going for it when all hope is lost."

From the AP: "Broncos coach Mike Shanahan is kicking himself for listening to his kicker. Jason Elam suggested a fake field goal at the end of the first half Sunday night against Seattle. The call backfired when Elam gained just 2 yards and strained his left hamstring on the play in a 23-20 loss."
At least Shanahan is able to keep a sense of humor about things, I guess: "'Jason is faster than you think,' Shanahan retorted. 'He was like a 4.7 coming out of college -- even though that was 38 years ago.'" Oooh, burn!

Alright, where did Jeff Garcia get the time machine? I mean, it looked like 2000 out there. Okay, not really, but Garcia did throw three touchdowns, avoided the big mistakes (thanks Jake!) and now the Eagles are 6-6. Sure, that doesn't sound impressive, but if the season ended today, Philly would be a wild-card team.
By the way, how great did Sylvester Stallone look? For some perspective, consider this: Stallone was born in 1946. Tony Kornheiser? 1948. You do the math.

The Panthers need tackles, the Saints need pass-rushers, the Bucs need a safety, while the conference champs need help on... offense?
