Any Given Sunday: Jets over Bills

This week's AGS looks at the mess in the AFC East, as well as the big reasons why the Jets stopped the Bills this Sunday: dramatically improved run blocking and run defense. No extra "FO only" section this week.

Spot on analysis of the difference between this year's Jets and last year's. Now if Mangini and co. would just recognize that they are running the ball really well and stick with that instead of letting Favre throw it all over the place.

I would say that Kris Jenkins is the best player on the Jets right now and he's the most dominant Jets defender in recent memory. John Abraham, when healthy, showed flashes of dominance but Jenkins is an absolute game changer. Calvin Pace is also quite good. I'm troubled by the mediocre to downright bad play of the secondary. Revis and Rhodes appear to be first class talents and the other players should be serviceable, but the performance of the whole is much less than the sum of its parts. The offense has also underperformed, which I attribute partially to dreadful, erratic play calling. All in all, a disappointing performance by Mangini and his staff from a strategy and game plan perspective.

I still say Kerry Rhoades is their best player . . . and Leon Washington might just make an argument out of it .. So they have a few really talented guys. Jenkins and Faneca fit in nicely .. but Leon Washington is also proving himself to be a game-changer
