I have a new metric I'd like to introduce, the Matt Predictive Indicator or MPI. MPI measures the likelihood that a statistic (like quarterback rating or DVOA) will become widely known and used by typical fans and journalists. Right now, using an admittedly small sample size, I can report that the MPI for FEI is -0.13. Of course, predictive adjustments are only at 60% this week, so there may still be a chance of an increase before the end of the football season.
