ESPN: Unpredictable Bowls
The predictions based on our F/+ ratings are off to a strong start in bowl season, but we're not getting too comfortable yet. Bowl season can be awfully unpredictable due to lots of factors, from long layoffs to uncertain motivations and more. How about the freakish rain storms flooding Qualcomm Stadium for tonight's Poinsettia Bowl?
According to FEI ratings, tonight is also the match-up that features the highest weekly FEI variance among its participants, Navy and San Diego State. Brian Fremeau discusses this and other statistics that may influence unpredictability in upcoming bowl games.
