ESPN: Special Teams Key For USC Trojans
For ESPN's ongoing "Summer Stock" series, I talked recently with USC coach Lane Kiffin about field position and special teams. The Trojans were one of the top teams in the nation in 2010 in terms of Field Position Advantage (FPA), but they weren't able to capitalize as often as they should offensively in short field situations. If they are able to generate the same kind of oppotunities this year, expect a veteran Matt Barkley to take advantage and help USC get back to double-digit victories.
