ESPN: Boise State Will Need Help Again

The Broncos return fewer starters in 2012 than any other team in college football, but Chris Petersen's squad should still post a nice gaudy record. Unfortunately for Boise State fans, another spectacular season won't be enough to get the Broncos in the national championship hunt. Boise State will play its weakest overall schedule in at least five years. That will be good for easing new play makers into the fold, but not for the annual BCS debate.

I disagree that Boise State will play its weakest overall schedule in the last five years. What makes this schedule any weaker than the others?

Last year Boise State had one of the most experienced teams in the country and played Georgia at a neutral site (albeit in Georgia's backyard). This year the Broncos will take a far less experienced team on the road to East Lansing to play one of the Big 10 favorites.

BYU is also an experienced team (similar to Tulsa last year) and Hattiesburg is a far more difficult away task then any the Broncos played last season.

The biggest difference is there is no TCU on the schedule. However, with Boise State's lack of experience, I believe they will find their schedule equal to/or possibly more difficult then last season.
