ESPN: Kansas State Is The Most Proven Team

The Kansas State Wildcats are sitting at No. 2 in the BCS standings, but they may be the most overlooked team in the championship hunt. Notre Dame notched a high profile win last Saturday, and Alabama and Oregon are expected to steal the biggest headlines this weekend. But the Wildcats have the most complete resume to date, ranking among the top-10 in offensive, defensive, special teams, field position, and turnover efficiency. There's a reason they're No. 1 in FEI, and through the first nine weeks o of the season, they fit the profile of a champion perfectly.

I cannot read the article, so perhaps you cover some of this, but I would take K-State and Notre Dame over Alabama and Oregon. Both ND and K-State beat OU on the road, but ND did it by 17 pts after OU was averaging 50+ pts for the previous three games. Using Sagarin ratings, ND has beaten four top-30 teams while K-State has only beaten three. ND has a better SOS than K-State at this point. ND has beaten two in the top 15 in the BCS. K-State also had one game against an FCS team and another one vs. a dog of an FBS team (North Texas). Perhaps K-State and ND will meet in a bowl game.
