ESPN: Cal Tops Recruiting Underachievers
A handful of teams have brought in consistent top-25 recruiting classes, but aren't producing consistent top-25 results on the field. Is it any surprise that most of them have made a recent coaching change? Here are five teams that have had the most trouble beating less-talented opponents over the last three years.

I'm a Cal fan, this does not shock me in the least (I didn't read article). Hence Tedford was fired. Somewhere, Ben Muth is laughing....

Not a fan, but a buddy is and we argue about how good (or bad) are the Bears. Tedford has his good seasons in the beginning, but word on the street was Tedford got burnt out near the end of his career. Part of the burnout was no great QB to succeed Aaron Rodgers and no good defensive coordinator.

Not having a QB was a self-induced problem after 8 years of failure. Poor recruiting, coaching or combo of both doesn't really matter.
Defense wasn't great, but it was good sometimes so with good QB/offensive system, team would have been fine.
