Or, why you should bench Matt Forte this week.
And yes -- the +/- 5% box makes its triumphant return this week, by request.

Eli Manning and Tom Brady were nearly equal in value in the Super Bowl. One of them had to lose. What effect will that have on their legacies? Plus, the best players of Super Bowl XLVI and the game's DVOA ratings.

Trouble is, my other options are Felix Jones and Darren Sproles. Think I'm going to bite the bullet with Forte anyway.
Thanks for adding the full list, though now it's going to make me think even more. Seeing that I have to wonder whether to start Marshall in place of Colston or VJax, and if so, which one.
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh do I bench Forte for LaDell Betts?? Is the situation THAT bad?
Viewing the ESPN articles
I am a member of FO and when I click on the ESPN articles, it asks me for my Insider name and passowrd. The Fo does not work. I assume I am doing something incorrectly or do I need to join ESPN as well? Thanks in advance for the explanation.
Re: Viewing the ESPN articles
Even though we're Outsiders, you have to be a member of the Insiders to read the article. FO discussed this in a few of the other threads and basically it will be this way for the time being. Being an ESPN Insider isn't that bad, there's some nifty nuggets of info which helps with fantasy matchups.
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
Whoa, waitaminute. Cedric Benson is +8% this week against the Packers. Is that a typo?
The Bungles line didn't look that strong against Denver and the Pack should be able to exploit the Cincinnati secondary, forcing a passing game, not a running game. Any reason why his average is so high?

Curious one, but it worked out...
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
Bill, thanks for bring the plus-minus five percent list back -- much appreciated.
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
I' ve been proposed a trade Steve Slaton for Philip Rivers .Currently I have Jay Cutler and Trent Edwards as my quarterback and at running back I have Chris Johnson ,Steve Slaton ,Correll Buckhalter, and Felix Jones.Do u think I should give up Slaton for Rivers?
Thanks much appreciated

Without knowing your starting lineup format or scoring system, all I can say is Rivers sucks. Don't do it.
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
I am considering getting ESPN Insider for this info alone. Of course I could do a lot of this myself if FO's pass defense breakdown included passing and running DAVE values instead of just VOA from last week. But I understand why they might not want to make that available.
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
I too looked at the full break down on Defense with DAVE and DVOA last year before checking Barnwell on the free ESPN stuff. If we had the full defensive breakdown in DAVE/DVOA my personal belly aching would also subside not having Insider access at ESPN. Just like water, it used to be free but someone decided to charge us for it.
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
Finally have access after two weeks of phone calls (the espn operators are a bunch of bankers).
Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
I just paid my $7 for a 1/mo subscription. But I still can't decide between Eli Manning vs Dallas and Kevin Kolb vs NO... and I am playing one of the league's powerhouses so I need all the points I van get this week!
Or, I could drop Kolb for Brady Quinn vs Denver on the waiver wire...
Thoughts, anyone?

Re: ESPN: Fantasy Matchups 2009, Week 2
I'm obviously biased, but there's not much difference in the Browns offense and the Bengals'offense - I expect week-1-Palmer-like numbers out of Quinn.
