Look, kids, the big table is back! To clarify: We're changing things this year so the big table has a total of points, not a percentage. That total represents the impact of this week's matchup on how many points a player will score compared to the average at his position. It doesn't represent who is the best player of the week overall.

Minor weaknesses dot these teams. Except for Arizona, which needs to bring in more help to really run Bruce Arians' offense.

Yay, tables.
Minor quible, but when you write "Plus-7" my brain gets confused and thinks it's "minus 7" However, I'm dyslexic and undercafinated today...
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
Mike Thomas gets a plus against the NY Jets?
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
I second that question, I have looked at several sites, and Thomas' weekly ranking is all over the map. Looking at last year the NY Jets were not particularly dominant shutting down WR1s. But still, +5?
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
It looks like Jacksonville WR Mike Sims-Walker gets a -5. Something seems sketchy.
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
Mike Sims-Walker is in Saint Louis now.
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
I'm starting Benson over Jamal Charles this week. Am I an idiot?
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
I don't think so. I've got Benson (with McCoy, S.Jackson, Gore and Mathews) and I'm planning to start him every time he has a good matchup. He seems a bit of a hot/cold guy, so when the odds are in his favour - I'd run with him.
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
Are these points for a 'standard ESPN scoring league'?
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
I'd love it if these ESPN article notifications had some extra or bonus material. Perhaps stuff too mathy/nerdy for the main article like some of the projection specifics. Article itself was great, though.
Also seconding the need for specifics about your baseline here.
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
Oh, just noticed the author's response, and I'm reposting it here since it was way down the page:
"The scoring system I'm using here is 1 pt per 20 pass yds, 10 rush yds, or 10 rec yds, 6 pts per rush or rec TD, 4 pts per pass TD, -2 for INTs. I'll make sure this is posted somewhere in next week's piece, either in the body of the article, as a footnote, or perhaps including it in the methods article."
Re: ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups
I'd recommend strongly not having things in the format like "plus-7 points". It looks like -7. Remove the dash; it will scan better. or simply don't use the word 'plus' and just go with the table - +7, -2, etc.
