Just in time for the release of the new NFL schedule, here's a look at five common misconceptions about bye weeks, travel, and other schedule issues. We've written about the first four in the past; the new finding here is that there's no correlation between injuries and when a team has its bye week.
I know it seems like everything we've been writing lately has been for ESPN Insider, and I'm sorry if people who don't subscribe to Insider are frustrated. This is generally material they requested that we wouldn't have written otherwise, and a couple of things tied to ESPN Magazine pieces that all happened to hit the Web at the same time. And yes, I understand the irony of Football Outsiders on Insider.

After three NFL seasons of kicking off from the 35-yard line, what has been the impact on touchbacks, returns, field position, scoring and injuries? Also, is this rule responsible for a record number of big comebacks?
